Medium: Carving and PaintingIn 2001, after a 25 year hiatus, Gary Knagin began to reexplore his interest in art. In 2006, he traveled to France with a group of Alutiiq artists to study ancestral objects in the Pinart collection. This experience transformed his carvings, which are now displayed in Native Corporations offices and and private homes in Kodiak, Anchorage, Seattle, Portland, Kona, Las Vegas, San Diego, Phoenix, Denver, and Ft. Lauderdale. |
