Description

Born in Old Harbor to Walter and Julia Melovedoff, Sally Carlough grew up in Kaguyak, where she has happy memories of berry-picking in the summers. Since the tidal wave in 1964, Sally has lived in Kodiak, Akhiok, and Anchorage. In addition to her Alutiiq language expertise, Sally has contributed her knowledge of traditional foods to The Wild Foods Cookbook.
