Alutiiq Museum Language Archive

The Kodiak Alutiiq language is severely endangered. Today, there are fewer than twenty fluent speakers of Kodiak Alutiiq. The Naken-Natmen project united Alutiiq speakers, learners, and researchers in language revitalization. One part of this effort was to make the Alutiiq Museum’s language recordings accessible online so that people can listen to and learn from first-language speakers.
