This basket was donated to the collection by Perry Eaton, who received it from the Carter family. It was originally crafted by Frieda Reft, who gifted it to the Carters. The basket contains various items one would expect to find while beach-combing, namely pumice, shell, coral, salmon vertibrae, a tooth fragment, a chunk of whale bone, and beach glass. Three additional pieces of potential archaeological significance, a fish hook, burin, and a chipped flake, were added to their own collection(AM982) due to their unknown provenance.
