Collected by Father Andrew P. Kashevaroff, curator of the Alaska Historical Library and Museum, ca. 1920 to 1940. Purchased from Natasha Calvin, a granddaughter of Kashevaroff.
Model of a Alutiiq bidarka with two humanoid figures depicted hunting a sea otter. Front figure is holding a spear or dart attached to a sea otter. Figure in rear is holding a paddle. Both figures wear conical spruce root hats. Surface of kayak and hats decorated with incised dots and lines, highlighted with black pigment.
