Old spruce root basket. 3 horizontal bands of design, the first and third being the same. The pattern on the first and third rows alternates between "wild celery" (Paul 18 p. 55) and "Half the head of a salmonberry" (Paul, 25, p.58) vertically placed, in rows of two. The center band is of the "wave pattern" (Paul 36 p. 63). Below the bottom band of design are "Half the head of the salmonberry" serially placed around the basket. Basket is broken along top edge and has a piece torn out on one side from the top.
