Kanatak - at head of Portage Bay, on S. coast of Alaska Peninsula. 53 miles east of Ugashik. Abandoned in 1950s.
Two-hole style; skin over wooden frame; lashed with string; paddler in rear, man with spear in front; both have wooden heads and hats; very frayed fur parkas; red wool around wrists and throats; two bows and a number of arrows, spears and an extra paddle are lashed on deck; 63.5 cm long; sits on a wooden stand.~root~>
