Spruce root; heavy twining; like Tlingit Wild Celery design; Open-topped basket, slightly warped in shape. Concave bottom surface with a few white accretions on the root. Also results of abrasions. Base curves up the sides, one spot bulging rather than curving first in then out. Three design fields as one looks at the side of the basket. Lower field is unbounded, with four horizontal lines. A triple-lined border separates the next field, with five horizontal lines separated by another fibrous material. Three line border, then four dark designs. An upper border finishes the design. The root is dull in appearance. The upper edge is finished with root. Measures 14.5 x 18 x 15.5 cm.
