12" long - including cotton cloth cord which is doubled over and knotted; has rotted off where it was attached to housewife; 3" wide at base. Machine sewn of cotton and wool cloth scraps and bits of lace. Two pockets would hold sewing materials. Housewife itself is only 7" and tapers to top.
