odel given to donor's father, "Captain" Soren Hansen in San Francisco, about 1877 by captain on Alaskan fishing boat. L. Black, UAF Anthro Dept., suggested provenience is probably Alaska Peninsula.
Bidarka model with three holes. Gut over wooden frame, double-prow type.Three men made of wood, originally had gut parkas, also arms and coats of cloth, hair of string and faces painted on. Hats are large wood quiver with a seal brainer wooden seal. Bird spear with broken point, harpoon with bladder, head missing. Measures:62.2cm.Good condition.
