Alutiiq
Alutiiq/Sugpiaq (attributed), ca. 19th century Collected by the donor's grandfather, a lawyer who was in the Alaska Southeast (Juneau?) on a case in the 1890s. Collected by Harlow H. A. Hastings in 1892; gift of D. D. Hastings. Wooden quiver, possibly of cedar, made in two halves that were formerly held together with lashings at the top and middle, as well as two small pair of holes at the very top, one of which still holds a fragment of braided sinew. The halves are pegged together at the base. The piece is unpainted; the inside is hollowed out.
