Possibly Alutiiq, ca. 19th century Collected by the donor's grandfather, Harlow Harvey Amos Hastings, who was a lawyer in Southeast Alaska (Juneau ?) in 1892. Collected by Harlow H. A. Hastings in 1892; gift of D. D. Hastings.
Arrow with two feather fletching and a wooden shaft painted red at the fletching and at two bands ahead of the fletching, and at the arrowhead end. The arrowhead assembly is missing and there is no indication of what kind of arrowhead was used. A commercial string line is tied to the arrowhead end and loosely wrapped around the shaft. Two tight wrappings of commercial thread hold the rachis of the feathers at the fletching.~root~>
