From the shape of the nose, this mask might possibly belong with the series II-A-1563-1565, but there are notes in the accession books of only seven masks from Mrs. Anderson, and the other group of three and group of four seem more closely related than this one. Possibly Aleut.
Carved wooden mask. Humanoid mask with roughly-carved out circular eyes, fairly flat and broad nose, and mouth not carved through. Modeled in high relief. Traces of red paint apparently on the cheeks near the nose and on upper lip. Three holes are drilled on either side near the edge of the mask.~root~>
