The Alutiiq Museum regularly recruits people to work with us—contribute to projects, offer art to our collections, participate in public outreach, act as evaluators, and intern at the museum. Youth learning about artifacts at the
Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center
The Student Conservation Association is offering a paid, eight-month internship for a position supporting visitor services and community engagement at the Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge and the Alutiiq Museum. Assist with summer camps in Kodiak and rural communities, and work with visitors to both organizations. This position begins in late April and runs through mid-December 2025.

Keelin Rice designed an internship in partnership with museum staff. A grant from her university paid expenses while she volunteered her time to care for collections and research her family history.
The Old Harbor Native Corporation funded an internship at the Alutiiq Museum and awarded it to Ally Lake. Ally learned all about museum outreach greeting visitors, helping in the store, and working on education projects.
