Medicine: Beach fleabane can be used to treat boils. People wash the roots, pound them until finely crushed, place them in a moistened cloth, and bandage the boil with the cloth. Left overnight, the roots draw the pus from the boil and remove the infection. Others use crushed and heated beach fleabanes stems as a switch to relieve arthritis and heal broken bones.
