Trailing Raspberry (locally Moss Berry)

Puyurniq

Puyurniq
Rubus pedatus Sm.

Plant

Trailing raspberry is a small, slender, creeping plant of mossy forests. It produces one white flower from which a small, red, raspberry-like fruit develops.

Gathering: Because the berries are small, and the plants do not grow close together, it is time-consuming to gather quantities of this fruit.

Food: A few people make trailing raspberry jam or jelly.
