MUSEUM ON THE MOVE

Our pop-up displays feature touchable artifacts that teach about Alutiiq technologies. The displays are portable and can be shared indoors or out with the help of a museum staff member. To schedule a mobile museum visit to your event, contact Djuna Davidson, 844-425-8844, x20.

Exhibit Planning

NEW LOOK, MORE STORIES

The Alutiiq Museum is renovating and enlarging its exhibit gallery. Our visitors asked for more exhibits, more artifact displays, and more access to museum research. To envision an entirely new set of displays we are working with community advisors. The one-year project will identify exhibit themes, develop a floor plan, and create concept designs for the next set of Alutiiq heritage exhibits. It is generously supported by a grant to Koniag, Inc. from the Institute for Museum and Library Services.
