Medium: Beading, Jewelry-making
Sarah Christiansen is an Alutiiq artist from Kodiak. She has been immersed in Alutiiq culture from a young age and has is deeply inspired by her mother, Sharon Wolkoff, who is also an Alutiiq artist. Sarah learned to sing, drum, and dance with the Kodiak Alutiiq Dancers and has attended several cultural camps. Today, Sarah enjoys beading and making jewelry alongside her mother. She plans to continue to grow her business and keep her culture alive through her artwork.
Christiansen sells her artwork through her social media, Sarah’s Creations, and through the Alutiiq Museum Store.
