Medium: Beading, Skin Sewing
Kayla Christiansen of Old Harbor sewed her first seal skins at the age of 7, during an Alutiiq culture class at her school. She has been sewing and beading since, inspired by Elders, the beauty of the materials she works with, and the tremendous support she receives from her community. What started as a hobby has become both a passion and a business.
